I believe you are working with version 3.2. Is the client on iOS or Android?
Apart from Customizing, for 3.2 you need to perform an initial data load before the client can start getting data. Please refer to the Admin Guide on SMP for SAP Retail Execution 3.2
If you are using iOS then you can navigate to Settings - General - Database Tables to look the count of records, also on both the Android and iOS clients you can use the Send Log feature to extract the log and check if there are any errors reported.
