Please use simple with below function modules for getting employees hire and termination dates:

Here: you need to pass employee personal number.you no need to pass any thing from this function modules.

Hiring FM           :   RP_GET_HIRE_DATE

Termination FM :   HR_LEAVING_DATE

Let me know it will work or not
