Hope you can help me with this problem.
We have deployment of SAP BI 4.1 SP5 on Windows. We would like to install and configure SharePoint Integration Option for SP 2010 with SSO.
as per procedure provided in SAP Note:
"1818711 - Configuring Active Directory Authentication for SharePoint 2010 using Kerberos (Manual and SSO login)"
We're actually stuck at the step : Install the Integration Option for MS SharePoint on the SharePoint server.
Installing on SharePoint server, and after a couple of first installation screens, we come to select the SharePoint site to which IOMS is installed. We selected the appropriate SP site and the installer comes up with the error:
"The SharePoint site does not have site collection configured."
This is curios, because the step of site configuration is (as per Note 1818711) supposed to be done AFTER IOMS installation on the SP server.
So this is a showstopper really.
Please note:
- SP and root site is installed on C: drive, so no problems in this respect
- I am using matching Service Packs 5 for all my SAP BI products including IOMS
- The SharePoint site is not very complex
- My SP deployment has 2 servers: SP Application Server and Web Front End
1. Can anyone point me to what is wrong here ?
2. As have SP Application Server and Web Front End in my deployment, I understand IOMS should be installed on both. But what is the order of installation ? Does it matter ?
3. After installation, there are some other steps like creating SP Web Application, etc. Is this done on the SP Application Server only ?
4. A side note: how do we raise a support ticket to SAP ?
