F-44 authorization issue for vendor/customer clearing

Hi,

I have a user who is authorised to use F-44 to clear vendors. But when the user tries to clear a vendor in which the option "Clear with customer" as activated, an error message (F5084) is given because the user has no posting rights for customers. The result is that this user cannot access the vendor account at all, not even just for clearing vendor line items.

I would not want/expect SAP to block the entire vendor, but simply not show any customer line items. I prefer not to give the user customer posting access, because of segregation of duties.

Does anyone know a workaround for this?
