Retriving file from presentation server based on event?

I am writing inbound interface program that will grab the file from the presentation server in to SAP and process it. we can set the batch job as a timed to run once a week but I rather automate this process if possible.

Is there a way to automate this process so the batch job runs right after the file is uploaded to the presentation server? We dont have PI but biztalk.
