The user status in the useradmin application will not be changed. The functionality only works during the authentication of the users.
The reason for this is the dynamic nature of this feature. If you change the UME properties with new values, then the UME will have to go though all users to change their status again and this is a very time consuming operation. That is why the max password idle time is applied only during login and it does not persist any information.
