You are perfectly right. We are using persona's 2.0 SP3, and this happens when you hover over that area. Sometimes it happens when you move your mouse to click on a button as well.
As you mentioned, if this is how it works, is this fixed atleast with persona's 3.0 so I can atleast say customer that this will be resolved in next version.
