Arabic text GUI_DOWNLOAD into excel

Dear Experts,

I have Arabic texts in one of the columns of the internal table that I am passing to GUI_DOWNLOAD function module.

But the downloaded excel file has # in place of all the Arabic characters.

I know that there are many discussions on the above issue but none of them have helped me resolve the issue.

Also, I am passing CODEPAGE = '8704' and WRITE_BOM = 'X'.

The program also has Unicode check activated.

The excel I am using is MS Excel 2013.

Please help me resolve the issue.
