I think you are referring to UME API when  say tc/je/usermanagement/api.

But its the Java api, if we use it from Portal iView, it would give u the logged user and other info.

But how do we call it in UI5 app? if we call it via WebService or any other then, the service would be running in J2EE in background, if I make a web service call, it won't give logged in user.
